    For medium voltage cables, we have standard medium voltage underground transmission lines consisting of single-core and three-core cables with copper or aluminum conductors.

    This includes sheath properties such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), polyethylene (PE), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), and low smoke zero halogens (LSZH).

    We also provide expert cable safety performance and installation requirements to ensure legal compliance and your safe use of the cable.


    PRODUCT APPLICATION

    Medium voltage cables are used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications.

    In industrial environments, medium voltage power cables are mainly used in power distribution systems.

    They can be installed in ducts or conduits and are suitable for both wet and dry locations.

    Typical applications include pulp and paper mills, petrochemical plants, water treatment plants, environmental protection systems, and railroads.

    Due to their robustness and high electrical stability, medium voltage cables are well-suited for use in harsh environments.

    However, the use of medium voltage cables in these applications requires that the cables be rated for maximum tensile strength to ensure that they can withstand the harshest environments.

    Medium Voltage Aluminum Cable

     

    Aluminum XLPE/PVC Insulated Cable

    Conductor: Solid or stranded aluminum conductor

    Plain annealed aluminum in accordance with IEC 60228/BS 6360.

    Shield: Conductor with an extruded layer of semiconductor cross-linking compound

    The minimum thickness shall be 0.3 mm and the maximum resistivity shall not exceed 500 Ohm-m at 90 °C.

    Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene compound XLPE

    Sheath: XLPE / PVC / LSZH

    Voltage Rating: U0/U, 3.8/6.6kV, 6.35/11kV, 8.7/15kV, 12.7/22kV, 19/33kV

    Physical Characteristics:

    Operating Temperature: up to 90 °C

    Temperature Range: -5 °C (PVC or LSZH sheathing); -20 °C (PE sheathing)

    Packaging

    The packaging of ZMS cables is provided in wooden rolls, corrugated cartons, and reels.

    The cable ends are sealed with BOPP self-adhesive tape and non-hygroscopic sealing caps to protect the cable ends from moisture.

    We can print the required markings on the outside of the drums with waterproof material according to the customer's requirements.
