  • Application of XLPE insulated HDPE Power Cable:

    XLPE insulated HDPE Power Cable is High-Density Polyethylene Power Cable.

    High-density polyethylene has a good heat resistance and cold resistance, and good chemical stability.

    The HDPE cable also has high rigidity and toughness, and good mechanical strength.

    Its dielectric properties and resistance to environmental stress cracking are also good.

    Its hardness, tensile strength, and creep properties are better than low-density polyethylene.

    Its wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness, and cold resistance are better but slightly worse than low-density insulation.

    Plus the HDPE cable insulation material is XLPE, this is where the cable has better insulation and mechanical properties.

    HDPE power cable of ZMS Company has good chemical stability, is insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, and is resistant to corrosion by acid, alkali, and various salts.

    Use and scope of application: suitable for normal work not exceeding -5℃~60℃. HDPE protects and manages wires and power cables of AC 1000V and/or DC 1500V and below.

    What is XLPE insulation?

    Polyethylene (PE) cross-linking technology is one of the important means to improve its material properties.
    PE modified by cross-linking can improve its properties substantially, not only significantly improving the comprehensive properties of PE such as mechanical properties, environmental stress cracking resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, creep resistance, and electrical properties, but also very obviously improving the temperature resistance grade.
    The heat resistance temperature of PE can be increased from 70℃ to over 100℃, thus greatly widening the application fields of PE.
    At present, cross-linked PE has been widely used in pipes, films, cable materials, foam products, etc.

    Packaging of ZMS

    ZMS cable packaging is provided in the form of wooden reels, corrugated boxes, and coils. The cable ends are sealed with BOPP self-adhesive tape and a non-hygroscopic sealing cap to protect the cable ends from moisture. 

    We can print the required marks on the outside of the barrel with waterproof material according to customer requirements.
